Ellis' Busy Winter

Ellis is doing great this school year. She's such a trooper.
She's completed her first semester of 8th grade with all "A's".

Turkey Trot 2013

She has dedicated herself to "Rocking the Transplant" as we like to say by doing some physical activity every day! Michelle Obama's fitness program is put to shame by Ms. Patrick.
She's taking PE and often winning the "Best Effort" award from her teacher.
She ran in the 5K Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. She has participated in two seasons of X Country training. Those are twice weekly training runs and activities. While she's not the fastest competitor, she's very dedicated.

The New Sled

And has joined the newly formed middle school mountain bike team and is riding her new Trek Lush through the trails of Bainbridge and North Kitsap like a pro. She often climbs hills her older teammates quit on. Mom and dad are both volunteer ride leaders and get to go on many of the longer Sunday rides and shorter Wednesday evening rides with the team. She does have to fight mom for time on the new sled since it's SWEET!

Ellis' grandma was able to fly her and mom to the big island over the school's mid-winter break. They stayed @ Disney's Aulani Resort with the Brady Bunch. They relaxed by surfing, swimming and playing in the sun! Brother and dad stayed back on BI with Grandma Janet playing in the cold since both worked during the week.

iPhone Underwater? Yes with a Lifeproof case

One of her favorite activities now it to take photographs. Dad will post some more in a couple days, but this underwater one is fun. She's taken the iPhone to great depths (12" max) in Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean to test out her Lifeproof case. Yes, it's waterproof!

David Garrett LIVE - Rocking the Violin

 In January the girls all went to see rocking violinist David Garrett @ the Paramount and had a blast. They even stayed after and played groupie. We have the happy snap to prove it, but I just don't have the right phone . . .
