Post New Year's Day 4

The girl never ceases to amaze us all. The gang snuck poor Ellis out of her comfortable bed Tuesday morning for her second visit back after discharge. Gathered all the pills, papers, clothes and junk for a day of appointments. Made the ferry in time and even had enough to hit Jamba Juice though Ellis was not having any of that!
Signed in and had an echo, walked up to the Home Health in-house clinic and had our labs drawn and dressing changed on PICC. Had a late breakfast snack with our meds. Then we had a few hours to kill and dad got us turn around a few times in South Seattle looking for the best way to get to the 1st Ave S. Vespa Scooter store to talk with shopkeeper about Shea's new scooter - construction everywhere!
Returned to hospital for clinic appointment with Dr. Law and Patrick (the fellow). GREAT news. Ellis pushed out tons of fluid. The echo showed it and she had lost a couple pounds since Sunday. Wow. Her blood pressures were so normal that mom and dad asked the nurse to IMMEDIATELY test it again. The doctor when he came in requested a manual sphygmomanometer as HE didn't believe it either. But it was real; 118/70 (or similar) - that's freakin' normal?!
So, the new plan is to stay on this diuretic regimen at least until Friday when we have our next appointment. No procedures! Yeah.
We celebrated by having a Bud Light, pickle chips and hot wings @ the Wingdome in Greenwood and then home. Long day for all, but good news. Ellis outwardly seems to be feeling good too. Went for a little walk in the dark after dinner too.

  2. Love how things are going now-as I know you all are. I am going to keep praying though for good measure.
