February 7th

Wow, things are going well for the Patrick clan. Not perfectly, but really well.
Ellis' systems are functioning fully and her last appointment on the 1st had all organs working perfectly. She's completely off the steroids, but still taking a complicated mess of medications. Tracking them is a full-time job for Shea.
We had plans to fly down to Arizona for a little sun over President's Day weekend with our travel team, the Brady's, but something weird was heard of. Another transplant patient from Children's found out the hard way that a rare fungus had bloomed in the Phoenix area soil and caused some health complications. That shot our plans down and was disappointing, but we are glad to not be getting sick. We are now grounded until our planned trip to Chicago for the National Elementary Chess Tournament.
Kieran is even helping Ellis out in her quest to best her 3/5 showing from last year. He's offered to train with her and compete in a high school level tournament soon.
Ian's been back to work trying to get things back together @ the KHS Library and the NKSD Library Program (budget cuts are looming).
Grandma Janet is adjusting to things without her soul mate and has Odie to break any bit of peace and quiet she might have!
Ian has recently sold three vehicles and purchased another in an attempt to downsize the fleet. We had our fraternity brother, friend and car dealer Jack Meredith help with all the transactions. Need to buy or sell a car? Call Jack @ Northwest Fleet Lease (www.nwfl.com/).
Ellis has been back to classes and had a full day today including a chess training tonight. She's been riding her electric scooter, her bike and going on walks. It's sure fun seeing her out and about!
Next appointment is on - Valentines' Day!!!!
